Vinted explained the new system was more in line with other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and update the measurements by hand when needed, resulting in member annoyance. Size Classification Modifications Before the change, the measurements included one number and one letter, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter and a range for example S/UK 8-10. For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. Member Accounts Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Another user, located in Scotland, explained products she uploaded on Vinted with size 14 labels were appearing on the platform as measurements 20-22. "Should someone sized 20-22 purchase these they may become frustrated," she said. Manual Updates Another shopper, from Derby, said she had been left angered because the modification necessitated personal updates the sizing for "all her products". "For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential following partial earnings loss," she said. Platform Context The service features exceeding 100 million members, comprising 18 million UK members. It has proved a popular alternative compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
